Great shot...... This reminds me of a couple of years ago when this huuuuuge possum was wandering around our neighborhood in the middle of the day. Cars were pulling off the side of the road and people were standing on their porches looking at it. It was the largest possum I've ever seen... it was actually kind of pretty... not mangy like this one -- like it was well-groomed. Anyway, great photo. :D

Thanks for the comment. It was a cool moment when I saw this opossum. I used to see them all the time when I lived in Brownsville. They move at a slow pace and don't seem to care about people. Adios Amigo.

Wow, what a great moment. I'm sure there are many people who haven't seen a possum before. Poor guy, I wouldn't want to be in his situation. Where were you when you saw it?
:iconpepechulo:
Opossums are pretty common in South Texas. I saw him in Brownsville, Texas on a highway known as Paredes Line Road. This area is being built up, but just recently it was wooded area. I guess this small opossum comes from the nearby wooded area. If you look up the history of the opossum, you will notice that the Aztecs held them in high esteem.
